Print The Right Guide for Your Job

Expand the capabilities of your ST3 with downloadable and customizable guide heads.

MODULE POSITIONING

One Interface. More Ways to Work.

The FGM interface gives ST3 a modular, quick-change guide system for specialized drilling tasks. Different guide heads can provide fixed-angle positioning, stable vertical drilling on flat or curved surfaces, depth-control assistance, and dust collection.

Users can choose official FGM guides or 3D print custom attachments for unique applications. As new guide designs are developed, the same interface continues to expand the capabilities of ST3—without requiring a separate tool for every task.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this an attachment for most drills?

The FGM of ST3 is more than just a drill guide attachment. Its unique telescopic structure works together with the guide head to enable accurate real-time depth measurement and control, which wouldn’t be possible as a simple add-on for standard drills. It provides mechanical constraint to keep the tool aligned, while the dual steel guide rails control the feed motion. Combined with real-time depth sensing and the integrated Drill + Tap + Drive workflow, ST3 is designed as a complete handheld system rather than just an add-on accessory.

Can I design the FGM by myself?

Yes. SPESYN Tool 3 is designed to be open and practical — many early users are already planning custom 3D-printed guides and accessories for specific angles or setups.

Only 90° once the guard becomes flush ? Or is the guard spring loaded ?

The 90° alignment is primarily achieved when the front guide module is fully flush with the surface.

But it also has an internal spring mechanism that provides a bit of assisted adjustment, helping ensure stable contact and alignment even on slightly uneven surfaces.

What is the guide made of?

The Front Guide Module (FGM) is made from durable PC (polycarbonate), chosen for its strength and impact resistance. For custom 3D-printed guide heads, the material depends on the filament you choose. We generally recommend ABS, PLA, or PETG, depending on your application and printing setup.
