Once you have the correct tile drill and bit, the actual drilling process should be relatively controlled.
First, determine exactly where the hole needs to go and make sure there are no pipes, wiring or other hidden services behind the area.
Place the appropriate tile drill bit on the target point and establish stable contact before increasing speed.
Start slowly.
Avoid pressing aggressively into the tile. Let the cutting surface of the bit do the work.
Depending on the bit and material, cooling may be required to prevent excessive heat buildup.
As the hole develops, maintain a consistent tool angle and periodically reduce pressure or withdraw when necessary.
With ST3, the LCD provides real-time relative depth feedback with ±0.1 mm resolution, allowing the user to monitor progress during drilling.
This does not automatically stop the drill at a preset depth, but it gives the operator another reference for understanding how far the tool has advanced.
