A basic glass drilling workflow with ST3 can be kept simple.
First, confirm that the glass is suitable for drilling and is not tempered.
Mark the hole location and securely support the glass.
Install the correct glass drill bit in the ST3 chuck.
Next, position the Front Guide against the glass surface. Make sure the guide sits flat and the drill is aligned with the intended hole.
Start in Drilling mode at a low speed.
Do not force the bit into the glass. Allow the drill bit to gradually establish the hole.
During drilling, keep the bit and glass cool. Water is commonly used in glass drilling to control heat, but always keep water away from electrical connections and follow appropriate safety procedures.
Monitor the ST3 depth display as drilling progresses.
As the bit approaches the opposite side of the glass, reduce pressure and allow the bit to finish the breakthrough gradually.
