The SPESYN ST3 is designed around the drilling mistakes that commonly affect DIY users. It combines drilling, tapping and screwdriving in one cordless handheld system while adding mechanical guidance and digital feedback.
Its Front Guide Module works with two built-in steel guide rails to physically constrain the tool’s movement along a 90° path. Instead of judging vertical alignment by eye, the user presses the drill along a mechanically guided direction. This is helpful when drilling shelf holes, furniture joints, mounting plates, aluminum profiles and smooth materials where a conventional bit may slip at the starting point.
The LCD screen displays drilling depth in real time with a stated precision of ±0.1 mm. After placing the guide against the workpiece, the user can reset the measurement to zero and monitor the depth as the bit advances. This makes blind holes and repeated holes easier to control without relying on tape marks or visual estimates.
ST3 also provides a dedicated tapping mode with automatic reverse protection. When tapping an internal thread, automatic reversing helps clear chips and reduces the risk of continuing to force the tap forward when resistance increases. This does not remove the need to select the correct pilot-hole size, tap and cutting method, but it makes the process more controlled and approachable for less experienced users.
The tool includes a 13 mm chuck, 20 torque levels and separate operating ranges for each task:
- Drilling: 0–2000 RPM
- Tapping: 0–400 RPM
- Screwdriving: 0–500 RPM
These dedicated modes allow the tool to use higher speed for drilling and more controlled speed for tapping and fastening. The removable 20V battery and cordless design also make ST3 suitable for projects around the home, workshop or jobsite where a fixed drill press would not be practical.
